Job summary

We would like to present an exciting opportunity for a Clincal Psychologist/Senior Psychological Therapist to join a dynamic and expanding team supporting people with symptoms of mild to moderate personality disorder across Northumberland. The H.O.P.E team is a psychology led service and has been co-developed alongside people with lived experience of mental health services. Based in Blyth, the succesful candidate will provide assessments, therapy, and group interventions through a combination of video calls and face-to-face appointments across community venues in Northumberland. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be involved in providing specialist training and supervision to a variety of professionals working in primary care settings including GPs, primary care mental health workers and reception staff.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role involve providing one to one assessments, therapy, supervision, and training. You will receive regular supervision and the chance to engage in ongoing continuing professional development, including the opportunity to develop competencies in evidence-based therapies. You will work as part of an MDT, alongside a variety of other professionals including a family therapist and consultant clinical psychologist. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and motivated to make a difference to the lives of people who struggle with emotional and relational problems, often underpinned by trauma.
