Job summary

The Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team in Gateshead has a vacancy for a psychological therapist or clinical or counselling psychologist, band 8a. This is for a part time (0.8 wte) permanent post, however we are happy to be flexible/creative regarding sessions, and are also willing to consider job-share options.

Main duties of the job

This service ensures the systematic provision of multidisciplinary, and evidence-based bio-psycho-social interventions to those people who are in their first episode of psychosis. The service aims to offer programmes of care focused on recovery. Working with a highly motivated clinical team, you will be part of a service delivering the best possible practice in contemporary mental health care. Your job purpose will be to provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to service users and their families, while working closely with other professionals.
