Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist has arisen to lead in the provision of the Occupational Therapy Service across the 3 Acute Adult Assessment In-patient wards and the PICU unit at Hopewood Park.
You will work alongside the Band 5 Occupational Therapists and Assistant Practitioners leading and contributing to the Occupational Therapy Assessments/Interventions and discharge planning process. You will have an active role in leading upon the pathways group activity provision and in supporting the MDT with complex cases and clinical decision making. We are therefore looking for experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapists with well-established clinical skills, knowledge and preferably in-patient experience. Training in relevant specialist areas would also be beneficial e.g. sensory interventions, restrictive interventions, HOPES.
You will support in the development of the Band 5 Occupational Therapists within the pathway, providing leadership, clinical supervision, appraisals and learning opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to have post-graduate experience of working within a mental health setting, specifically Adult Mental Health.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop and progress with the guidance and support of the experienced on-site, Band 7 Occupational Therapist who will be provide regular supervisions, appraisals and development opportunities. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to attend Band 6 peer support, CPD sessions and training.
