East Community Treatment Team (East CTT) - Administration Services

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent band 3 administrator to join our transforming community team in North Cumbria as an Admin Officer. As this service operates across the Carlisle-Eden footprint the base is flexible which will be discussed at interview (Portland Square Offices, Carlisle or Beacon Unit, Penrith Hospital, Penrith).

We are seeking someone who has interest in supporting our busy clinical team, the post holder will need to have experience of working in a similar environment and previous secretarial experience is essential due to the demands of the role.

Main duties of the job

The post holder should have:

  • Secretarial experience working within a team.
  • Experience in a customer / patient and service user focused environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
  • A good understanding of the RiO system (not essential as training will be provided)
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft word/office packages and typing qualifications
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Minute taking skills as attending MDT meetings and updating RIO and action plans on a screen is required during this
  • Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
  • Well organised and structured
  • The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role and can meet the mobility requirements of the role.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to occasionally distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to ensure they participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.

This post could provide an ideal development opportunity for an existing Band 2 or Band 3 looking to develop further administrative skills working autonomously within an existing and transforming service. The post will provide training and development opportunities.

Full support will be provided by an experienced Administration Team Lead/Manager as well as the service leads.

  • Word-processing skills at Level 3 (OCR/RSA Level 3 or equivalent qualification and or demonstrable relevant experience) eg NVQ Level 3 in Business administration
  • General level of education in Maths and English to O-Level/GCSE or equivalent
