Comments from our staff
I have worked at MAMS for 9 years which is the longest I have been in any nursing post and a real reflection of how much I love my job. It really is multidisciplinary working, and the team is the best!
There is so much support from our fabulous lead to develop both within the role and with further opportunities such as towards NMP and facilitating the different groups that we offer.
I wouldn't want to work anywhere else and know that you will be made to feel very welcome when you join us.
I was attracted to the professionalism of the team, that has a wealth of differing experiences and are incredibly supportive.
All staff are highly motivated to work in the diagnostic service and ensure that they make every intervention count, to reassure, support, inform and guide the patient and relatives through a difficult time in their lives.
There is always excellent formal and informal supervision. I was initially worried that I would not have the skills to transfer into this specialised area of working. However due to there being a clear pathway of care and excellent structure of what is expected in each of our appointments, this enabled me to learn and continue to learn and put my previous knowledge into practice into the MAMS service. I feel supported and valued within the team
