Job summary

INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY

To provide expert advice and support on a daily basis to a wide-ranging workforce on all aspects of safeguarding work, including highly complex, difficult, sensitive and emotive situations.

To work closely with other Named and Designated Professionals across the network, supporting all activities necessary to ensure that NCIC meets its responsibilities in safeguarding.

To contribute to the strategic development organisation of safeguarding services.

To ensure that robust systems are in place to ensure effective, timely information sharing between staff within and outside of NCIC.

Main duties of the job

The Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults will focus on the implementation and management of safeguarding systems and activity relating to:

  • Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Adults Reviews
  • Improving the Trust's response to Domestic Abuse and leading on Domestic Abuse Related Death reviews
  • The work of the Safeguarding Adults Board
  • Alongside the Named Nurse for Children, support the PREVENT agenda
