Band 2 AHP Administration Assistant - Permanent.
28hr 45min hours per week.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Allied Health Professional (AHP) team at the West Cumberland Hospital. Based predominantly within the occupational therapy team, the successful candidate will provide a fully comprehensive administrative service to the occupational therapists and other AHP teams as required.
The role of the occupational therapy department is to provide an integrated service for adults in the West Cumberland Hospital meeting their health and social needs, facilitating their optimal independence and ensuring their safe, rapid and effective discharge from hospital to their homes or appropriate community settings.
Main duties of the job
To provide the AHP teams with a high quality and consistent level of administrative and secretarial support.
To participate in the planning, development and provision of an effective and efficient administration service to the AHP teams.
To work flexibly across the NCIC AHP teams as required.
To manage and organise own workload.
To develop and maintain effective communication links with patients, carers and all associated relevant practitioners.
To complete comprehensive accurate and legally compliant documents.
To participate in audit and research activities as appropriate.
To adhere to all Trust Policies and Procedures.
To deal appropriately with enquiries from service users, staff and other organisations which require the post holder to make decisions often without recourse to others.
To prioritise professional demands and regular change or alter tasks due to unplanned interruptions.
To assist Managers in achieving departmental objectives (e.g. clinical governance, audit of service).
