We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly skilled AHP to lead our Allied Health Integrated Musculoskeletal Services (IMSK) across North Cumbria. This role requires a forward thinking AHP with the skills to utilise the specialist clinical practice that already exists within the team, with strategic and operational leadership, utilising innovation to evaluate, develop, implement and analyse working practices within the IMSK service through the use of evidence based practice, audit, research and outcome measures to ensure effective and efficient pathways of care and service delivery for the population of North Cumbria.
As the Head of IMSK for AHPs you will provide strategic/operational/professional/clinical leadership and governance for AHPs. Alongside the Associate Director of AHPs and AHP leads you will play an integral role in the fulfilment of NCIC's focus and vision of moving care closer to home. You will also lead on workforce development with an emphasis on recruitment, retention, role development and lead on developing research and education within the profession and with academic partners.
Main duties of the job
The Integrated MSK (IMSK) service provides Advanced/ Enhanced Clinical Practitioner led MSK AHP out-patient services to the population of North Cumbria for patients self-presenting or clinically referred into the service with MSK related conditions and disorders. The department works closely with other professions and AHPs within Primary, Community and Secondary care services to provide a holistic approach to assessment, diagnosis, management and rehabilitation, and assists in providing a smooth transition between in-patient, community and out-patient settings.
Our main aim is to promote the best life-long MSK related health, delivering a clinically led, fully integrated end to end MSK pathway which is high quality, safe, person-centred, and highly efficient & effective, and which facilitates an optimum return to function for all patients accessing the service, promoting patient self-management where appropriate.
