We are seeking a highly credible leader, with a compassionate and inclusive leadership style, for the role of Principal Business Partner in a newly formed Medical Staffing Team.Senior level Medical Staffing experience would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrable track record in all areas of HR service delivery and senior level management experience in a healthcare or public services setting; working alongside senior leadership teams in a complex, matrix system.
Expert knowledge of employment legislation, current case law and best practice is essential; as is extensive knowledge of health service workforce regulation regimes (e.g., CQC) and significant experience of interpreting and applying same in a highly complex organisational setting.
Main duties of the job
The Principal Business Partner (PBP) is a senior workforce/ OD (Organisational Development)/HR (Human Resources) professional responsible for leading the people strategy in relation to the medical workforce within the Trust to deliver safe, quality, compassionate care to patients through effective and sustainable people plans and competent compassionate staff.
There are a number of collaboratives in place within the Trust and this role will be accountable for Medical Staff within each Collaborative in conjunction with the Medical Directorate service.
The post holder is expected to be a role model of Trust behaviours and standards. They are expected to be exemplars in the delivery of people services within their area of responsibility. They must promote best practice and equality of treatment for all staff and prospective employees, including recruitment, promotion and training and continuous professional development.
Ultimately the role should work in close collaboration with People Services, the Medical Directorate and collaborative senior teams to ensure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time within the collaborative and that they are supported, adequately trained, safe and productive, and delivering quality services to the patients.
