Job summary

This is a full time secondment (37.5hrs) to the role of Midwifery Matron for West Cumberland Hospital, Band 8a, to cover 12mths maternity leave for current post holder.

The post is a key member of the Collaborative Senior Midwifery team. You will work to support the Collaborative quad and will have shared responsibility for:

The delivery of quality servicesThe performance management of the services in line with relevant targets and standardsOversight of clinical efProviding leadership, support and advice to midwifery managers and staffContribute, as appropriate, to Collaborative strategy development and implementationEnsuring good working relationships with other Networks/Service lines across the Collaborative

The post holder will be a highly visible, proactive and accessible Midwife lead, acting as a role model and clinical resource within the Collaborative and ensuring the sustained delivery of high standards of Midwifery care and service delivery, to Midwifery and Nursing staff, patients and the public.
