Clinical Educator EAU Band 7 - 37.5 hours available
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking clinical Educator to join our already established team of qualified nurses within the Emergency Assessment Unit at West Cumberland Hospital Whitehaven. We are looking for a clinician with commitment, flexibility, enthusiasm, excellent clinical skills, and who are keen to work as part of a hardworking and dedicated team.
Main duties of the job
Deliver a comprehensive orientation and induction programme for qualified nursing staff, assistant practitioners and Health Care Assistants, acting as a clinical role model, working collaboratively to develop and deliver an ongoing programme of training and education for the EAU . Contribute to the development of department policies, guidelines and scope of nursing practice.
To be a clinical expert in all levels of Emergency Care Nursing and to provide "hands on" supervision of staff in clinical practice to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge
In conjunction with team leaders and clinical staff of the unit, be responsible for the assessment, supervision and development of all members of the nursing team. To undertake audits and reviews of practice and policies within the unit.
