Qualification and Training

Essential

• Current Full Registration with the General Medical Council
• Primary Speciality Membership or equivalent (MRCP, MRCA, MRCGP, etc)
• Up to date Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Training

Desirable

• PG Cert Pastoral Care
• PGCert/PGDip/MAcad MEd

Communication Skills

Essential

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written as evidenced by job application and presentation skills at interview

Experience

Essential

• Experience of recent direct patient care
• Experience of recent working in the NHS
• Working knowledge of the Newcastle University Undergraduate Curriculum and how the programme is delivered locally

Desirable

• Demonstrable teaching experience

Clinical Skills

• Evidence of good clinical skills as evidenced by references/portfolio
