Job summary

To provide direct student support and advice for the Newcastle Undergraduate medical students whilst on placement at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

Act, where necessary, as a direct point of contact for medical students requiring additional support to study and to schedule meetings, as required.

Monitor student absence and undertake return to work meetings, if necessary.

Keep up-to-date with Newcastle University pastoral processes and relevant support networks.

Keep up to date with Newcastle University processes that commonly run in parallel to pastoral processes such as academic support and professionalism/fitness to practice procedures.

Provide departmental pastoral care training and updates.
