Qualifications

Essential

• Full GMC Registration
• CCST Specialist Registration (or will obtain within 6 months of interview date) OR Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
• Bowel cancer Screening Accreditation
• MRCP (UK)

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualification in gastroenterology (European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology & Hepatology, MD, PhD or equivalent

Skills

Essential

• Clinical experience and competence in gastroenterology.
• Ability to provide therapeutic endoscopy for GI bleeding.
• Screening Colonoscopy Level 2 Polypectomy
• Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers and other staff
• Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

Desirable

• Screening Colonoscopy Level 3 Polypectomy
• Subspecialty expertise in gastroenterology or endoscopy
