Clinical Pharmacy Technician Keswick and Solway Primary Care Network
Based at a GP Practice within Keswick and Solway PCN
Weekend and late evening shifts may be required
A great opportunity is available for the right person to join an established team of PCN pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. In North Cumbria there is a network of PCN pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who have developed the PCN pharmacy team roles and we are now seeking another pharmacy technician to join the team working in the PCN Keswick and Solway Primary Care Network.
The PCN along with the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust recognises the value that pharmacists can bring to general practices and to our patients and we look continue to grow our PCN pharmacy team.
Main duties of the job
Our aim is to provide exemplary patient care through the optimisation of medicines use for all patients including our Care Home residents. PCN Pharmacy Technicians can undertake many roles to improve patient care and to optimise the use of medicines.
It is a requirement of the role to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Primary care experience would be an advantage, however, is not essential. Flexibility, enthusiasm and good clinical knowledge are essential.
Successful candidates will be supported in terms of clinical learning and professional development through clinical supervision by other clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with experience of working in a PCN role.
You will need to register and complete a formal education pathway for GP practice based pharmacists such as the Centre of Postgraduate Pharmacy Education course.
