INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY
To assist in the organisation of the services workload, to act as first point of contact for schools, patients, relatives, carers and other outside agencies, arranging appointments, arranging clinics, and attending school immunisation sessions when required.
An integral part of the role is the input and extraction of data/information from the Trust's patient information and related IT systems, plus the provision of relevant documentation and data to ensure information is fully up to date.
In undertaking the role the post holder will be required to initiate own tasks and prioritise own workload working effectively within a team which includes both admin and clinical colleagues.
Main duties of the job
The school aged immunisation programme is intended to prevent children from developing vaccine preventable diseases that are associated with significant mortality and morbidity. Vaccines are offered to children and young people and are delivered in school settings in line with national guidelines on an age and gender basis pertinent to the individual vaccine involved.
o To provide high quality immunisation services to the community.
o To work within North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS foundation Trust guidelines, protocols and policies.
o To encourage and promote the growth of community development to meet
agreed identified local need for children and their families.
o To provide information, documentation and support in identifying the current public health aims.
o To work in partnership with other agencies both statutory and voluntary to deliver heath improvement/protection programmes, as clearly identified..
o To provide high quality immunisation services to the school age population of Cumbria.

To raise awareness within the community of the benefits of immunisation
