INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY
1 x 37.5 hours post. Domestic Team Leader position at West Cumberland Hospital.
Working on rota, shift times vary, with the earliest start being 6:30am latest finishing time 7:30pm. 8.75 hour shifts on weekdays and 12.5 hours on weekends. One full weekend out of three
To Assist the Domestic Service Manager in the day to day to day running and organisation of the Domestic Service Department.
To supervise a team of Domestic staff in providing good quality, safe cleanliness services to wards and departments throughout Trust premises for all staff, patients and visitors.
To promote and provide a high standard of domestic services

Main duties of the job
- Visit all wards/departments regularly
- Maintain standards in areas allocated, maintaining quality monitoring procedures including inspections and completion of relevant forms
- Manage staff distribution across the site ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained
- Supervise all staff and monitor standards of work
- Deal effectively and efficiently with all departmental problems and complaint
- Assist Domestic Service Manager with recruitment.
- Demonstrate duties and be responsible for the training of new and existing staff.
- Motivate staff and maintain effective communication
- Complete weekly timesheets, monitor and maintain sickness records for all staff, completing all necessary paperwork & recording on the ESR System
- Be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment
- Implement policies and propose changes to improve protocols and procedures
- Always maintain a positive Trust image
- Delegate daily tasks and monitor work to maintain a high cleanliness standard
- Ensure all cleaning schedules are adhered too
- Ensure accurate input of data in computerised systems
- Undertake continuing personal development, including mandatory and statutory training
