Band 2 Activity Co-ordinator

Ward 5 is looking for a dynamic innovative person for a new role within the ward as an Activity coordinator to lead and encourage patients to join in meaningful activities to promote wellbeing and recovery whilst maintaining their choice and dignity whilst they are in patients on the ward.

To create a stimulating and varied programme of activities and events on the ward for patients to enjoy. To work with the patients to understand their likes and dislikes and aid in providing a good patient journey.

To work alongside volunteers and other support workers to provide a balanced programme to meet the patients needs

Main duties of the job

Activity coordinator to lead and encourage patients to join in meaningful activities such as arts and crafts, music therapies, gentle exercise and socialisation to promote wellbeing and recovery whilst maintaining their choice and dignity whilst they are in patients on the ward.

To create a stimulating and varied programme of activities and events on the ward for patients to enjoy. To work with the patients to understand their likes and dislikes and aid in providing a good patient journey.
