Qualifications

Essential

• GCSE Grade C/4 in Maths, English and Science
• 2 GCE A levels one in a science subject
• NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care

Desirable

• 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above)

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Experience of dealing with the public
• Interest in Healthcare
• Experience with the use of computers and database operation

Desirable

• Experience of face to face contact in a healthcare environment
• Experience of dealing with hearing impaired people
• Knowledge of hearing aids/Deaf awareness issues

Skills and Aptitudes

Essential

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with emotional and challenging subject matter with tact and sensitivity
• Good telephone manner
• Good level of computer literacy
• Fine manual dexterity
• Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure.
• Good organisational skills with the ability prioritise, innovate and work to deadlines.
