This is a full-time, permanent post (10 PAs) based within our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) department, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of elective and routine OMFS work. The successful candidate will work closely with consultants and registrars, supporting clinical activity in outpatient clinics, minor oral surgery lists, and inpatient care, as well as participating in a 1:5 second on-call rota.

  • Undertake elective and routine oral and maxillofacial surgery, including outpatient clinics and minor oral surgery lists.

  • Participate in the 1:5 second on-call rota, supporting emergency dental and maxillofacial admissions.

  • Contribute to the assessment and management of patients in inpatient, day case, and outpatient settings.

  • Work collaboratively with Consultants, Specialist Registrars, and Dental Core Trainees, providing day-to-day supervision and guidance to junior staff.

  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical documentation and uphold Trust policies on clinical governance and patient safety.

  • Participate in audit, clinical governance, and service improvement activities within the department.

  • Take part in teaching and training activities as agreed, with opportunities for involvement in education, service development, and research depending on individual interests.
