Qualifications

Essential

• First level registered nurse
• Degree in appropriate nursing related subject
• ENB 124 Coronary Care or equivalent
• Northumbria Advanced Clinical Assessment for Nurses (NACAN ) or equivalent
• Relevant teaching qualification
• Leadership.Management qualification or willing to undertake
• ILS
• Essential IT skills

Desirable

• MSC in appropriate nursing related subject
• Counselling qualification

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Continuing professional development with portfolio.
• Cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology
• Drug therapies used in heart failure
• NMC code of professional conduct
• Equality issues.
• Substantial post-registration experience within Cardiology.
• Experience of audit and evaluation.
