Bank Chaplains

We are seeking to strengthen our bank chaplaincy team for the benefit of patients, staff and families. The post is open to authorised ministers/leaders from ecumenical and multi-faith settings. Bank chaplains provide spiritual, pastoral and religious care of patients, relatives, carers and staff within the Trust.

Work will be based at West Cumberland Hospital, with some shifts being made available to work at community hospitals and the Cumberland Infirmary.

Main duties of the job

minister to patients and staff regardless of denomination, faith or belief within Trust as requested;

work collaboratively and cooperatively with other members of the Chaplaincy team and with members of all local faith communities in respect of the spiritual, pastoral and religious care of patients, carers and staff;

participate on call cover;

actively participate in service improvement that promotes the spiritual, pastoral and religious care needs of patients, carers and staff.
