Qualifications

Essential

• 1st Level Registered Nurse in Adult/General Nursing specialty/AHP
• Evidence of post registration development and further academic study to masters or equivalent
• ILS provider

Desirable

• Clinical Assessment Qualification (or willingness to undertake)
• Teaching qualification or (willingness to work towards this)
• Simulation training qualification (or willingness to undertake this)
• ALS Provider

Knowledge

Essential

• Significant post registration experience in general specialty
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of issues in management of time critical clinical incidents
• Experience of delivering training in a formal and informal setting
• Awareness of benefits of simulation and team training
• Continuing professional development, evidence by portfolio
• Excellent clinical skills demonstrating a thorough knowledge base and understanding of clinical practice
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form effective working relationships
• IM&T skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Understanding of impact of acute clinical incidents on team performance

Desirable

• Experience of designing training packages
• Experience of using electronic high tech patient facing equipment
• Understanding of human factors
• Proven experience of providing training in a variety of formats, such as individual and group sessions
• Proven experience of leading and managing change
