Job summary

INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES

We are looking for two enthusiastic, highly self-motivated individuals to join the Aseptic team of the Pharmacy Department, working towards registration with the Science Council as a Science Manufacturing Technician.

You will follow an appropriate training period including studying towards the Science Manufacturing Technician Qualification through Skills 4 Pharmacy, this is a distance learning course.On successful completion of the course and subsequent registration with the Science Council you will progress to a band 4 post.

Main duties of the job

The role is varied and will include

  • Co-ordination of day to day activities.
  • Preparation of aseptically prepared products.
  • Environmental monitoring.
  • Dispensing of outsourced parenteral products.
  • Undertaking pre-process checking of assembled trays.
  • In-process checking during preparation.
  • Generating worksheets for aseptically prepared products.
