Diabetes & Endocrinology Team Secretary

Job summary

POSITION: TEAM SECRETARY BAND 3 WORKING 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK - fixed term for 12 months, with 15 of those hours being permanent.

We are looking for a competent and professional Team Secretary working in Diabetes and Endocrinology, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

As a Team Secretary you will often act as Trust representative for our patients and therefore confidentiality is key at all times. You will provide a high standard of administration support to the Clinician's their teams, interacting with other departments, patients and their visitors.

In order for your application to be successfully processed we will require references from your current and previous employer(s) which must cover a minimum period of three years. Main duties of the job

You should be educated to GCSE English Language (minimum C Grade) standard, be trained to RSA level 2 standard and/or an NVQ level 2 in Administration and/or have the equivalent experience, preferably having a medical administration background.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as well as a positive approach to working in a team.

We are looking for someone with a pleasant, adaptable disposition who can remain calm under pressure and deal with a busy workload efficiently and effectively.
