Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our inspirational podiatry team in beautiful North Cumbria.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills, alongside a good sense of humour and team focused.
The Department has a good skill mix including advanced and specialist Podiatrists, Podiatry assistants and administrative staff. Currently we maintain high risk, biomechanics and nail surgery caseloads. As an admin assistant you will be responsible for organising timetables and direct and indirect communication with patients, their family and other stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
To be the first point of contact for all patients, staff & visitors to the building.
To maintain and update the booking of clinical rooms & book other rooms as needed.
To report any building defects through the Estate Dept procedure and log all defects.
Receive telephone calls and deal with accordingly, either by resolving enquiries or redirecting calls. Calls may be of a sensitive nature and may require skills in negotiation and tact often with clients who have a barrier to communication e.g. hearing impaired.
To process new patient referrals by recording the number of new referrals and ensuring that they are triaged by Senior Podiatrist.
Register new referrals on the EMIS web system, if required to do so. Data entry must be timely and accurate resulting in data quality being available for all required reporting.
