Job summary
The Vascular service at North Cumbria Integrated Care has now opened a new Vascular Lab at Cumberland Infirmary . As a result of this, the team are expanding and we are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to support in running and leading on the day to day functions of the lab.
This is an exciting new role within the organisation, with the opportunity to work as part of a team who are keen to develop the service and improve the way we deliver vascular care to our patients through the new facilities within the Vascular Lab. You will be working under the supervision of the senior clinical nurse specialist team, and there will be ample opportunity to develop skills and progress in a vascular nursing career.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker within the Vascular Lab will be responsible for supporting the nursing & consultant team to run the day to day Vascular outpatient activities efficiently.
The post holder will:
- Be responsible for supporting the delivery of outpatient clinics & treatments within the Vascular department alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
- Administrative tasks such as clerking of patients, stock control and ordering and at times booking of patient appointments
- To support in providing high quality care to Vascular patients.
- Be an integral member of the Vascular team delivering care within the Vascular specialty.
