IT Support Officer Band 4 12 Months Fixed term

This role is mainly desk based with occasional visits to site.

You will be working as part of the IT team comprising of remote and field based staff, ensuring the Primary Care IT Estate supports the delivery of effective patient care across North Cumbria.

Main duties of the job

The focus of this role is providing remote technical support to a modern Windows 11 / Office 365 desktop estate. As well as the core clinical information system there is a wide range of third party clinical and business applications in use. Whilst specialist knowledge of these technologies isn't essential collaboration with colleagues and suppliers is vital to ensure seamless end-to-end support is provided to our users.

Working as a member of a small primary care support team the role will be predominantly desk based. Whilst the area of focus will be primary care there will be a requirement to assist other NHS users to meet service needs. There will occasionally be a requirement to provide on-site technical support to meet service need.

In relation to all aspects of the role there will be an expectation to contribute to the department's knowledge of primary care support. This will include creating, reviewing and updating documentation as well as the informally sharing knowledge with colleagues to share and develop their knowledge.
