Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:

• youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure
• the multiple conviction rule has been removed, meaning that if an individual has more than one conviction, regardless of offence type or time passed, each conviction will be considered against the remaining rules individually, rather than being automatically disclosed.

Qualifications

Essential

• Educated to a degree level or demonstrable relevant experience of at least 3 years in delivering application training.

Desirable

• Training qualification, such as DTTLS, PTLS, TAP.
• EPR and/or Clinical Systems Training certifications

Experience

Essential

• High level understanding and experience of the training materials lifecycle and implementation.
• Wide range of experience in designing, delivering and maintaining training in a variety of applications.
• Working across multiple organisations and in multi-disciplinary teams
• Working with external suppliers and providers
• Presenting to large audiences
• Delivering continual service improvements
• Prioritising work in a high pressure environment
• Engaging and encouraging people in a cross-functional team
• Supporting people with different levels of computer literacy in the use of IT and applications
• Experience and understanding in training needs analysis and utilisation
• Able to use a variety of methods to actively engage learners and involve them in learning activities
• Significant experience of supporting a large-scale digital training programme within the NHS
• Experience of leading on issues, often under considerable time pressure - anticipating, analysing, and prioritising, ensuring that communication materials are prepared, and colleagues briefed

Knowledge

Essential

• Specialist knowledge of training delivery methods, learning style methodologies, including on-going support techniques, in a complex environment
• High level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• In-depth knowledge of NHS applications
