INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES

Band 6 Specialist Oxygen Nurse / AHP, permanent full time 37.5hrs

We have an opportunity to join North Cumbria Home Oxygen service. This would be a fantastic secondment opportunity for AHPs as well as nurses with an interest in Respiratory Medicine.

The post is community based and travel across North Cumbria will be expected. You will need to be highly motivated with an ability to manage a complex patient caseload.

Main duties of the job

To assess and prescribe Home Oxygen Therapy.

To manage and support patients on Home Oxygen Therapy.

To provide expertise and advice and act as a source of information and support to non-specialist staff prescribing oxygen.

To ensure compliance with NMC Guidelines and with Trust policies, procedures and protocols. Flexible working is required to meet the needs of the patient group.
