Job summary
INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY
Health Care Asst, Band 3 to work within the Pre-assessment Unit at the Cumberland Infirmary.
To ensure the smooth running of our pre-assessment clinics we require a HCA to work under the supervision of the staff nurse ensuring all the relevant pre-op tests and investigations are recorded prior to the patient being seen by a staff nurse or consultant anaesthetist.
Essential skills required are ECG recording and venepuncture.
Main duties of the job
Recording of height, weight and patient observations
Recording of ECG
Venepuncture
Taking MRSA swabs
Urine MSU collection
Use of relevant IT systems - eg ICE
