Job summary
Cardiology Support Worker, up to 37.5 hours per week Band 3
We have an exiting opportunity for Cardiology Support worker at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Workington that is due to open in July . You will work as part of a busy multi-disciplinary team, providing support to the Cardiac Physiologists, Nurses and Doctors.

Main duties of the job
Your role will be performing a range of tests such as ECG's, fitting cardiac monitors, blood pressure monitors and performing venepuncture. You will also support cardiac and respiratory Physiologist with more complex investigations such as Echocardiography , 6 minute walk tests and and pulmonary function testing. You will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other departmental duties such general tidiness, equipment cleaning , stock replenishment and general administrative duties. Applicants should possess GCSE in English language and Maths and NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) Experience of working in a healthcare environment is essential. You should have good communication skills and able to work as part of a team or individually. You should have the ability to prioritise your own workload and work to deadlines.
