Job summary

INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY

To provide a quality service for the overview and operation of the Trust West Cumberland Hospital ID card security, CCTV security and door access security system.

Provide a comprehensive technical support service to all members of the facilities management team, all staff members and the helpdesk / call logging function, working as a key member of a team that underpins the ID card security, CCTV security and door access security systems activities including the strategy and the delivery of the operational service to a high quality service level.

Ensuring the smooth delivery of the Trusts Car parking permit system including reconciliation of the pay and display income trust wide.

Liaising with staff, patients and visitors.

Working directly with external contractors with all car parking issues, including interfaces and databases.

Monitoring and responding to car parking issue by email, assisting with the appeal process and updating permit changes.

Processing new requests for parking permits.

To manage the Trusts car parking permit system on Backtraq FM. Deal with car parking issues trust wide. Attend car parking working groups over both main sites and community sites.

Management of contracts within own department.

Main duties of the job

Management and responsibility for Monthly testing of the internal panic alarm systems including reporting conditions and creating survey reports.

Manage, organise and oversee the day-to-day ID, CCTV, Door Access System Database operation and maintenance. Provide the focal point for all matters relating to use of the security specialist part of the EBI system.

Provide Technical and Specialist training for Help desk and Security staff in the use of ID, CCTV, Door access system (EBI) including new starters.

Collate and review new data from the EBI system and maintain databases and create accurate reports for system improvement and Maintenance Management.

Ensuring relevant paperwork has been completed in the event of a lost card and the information is updated on the ID Card system. Collate Reports relating to a loss of an ID Card and its usage for Health Safety and Security purposes.

Management for the provision of the Customer Service team / Help Desk to ensure an excellent service is provided including the day to day working of the EBI and Customer Service team / Help Desk operatives. To include technical support and necessary advice to enable the operative to process calls correctly.

Carry out monitoring and inspections of current equipment, producing any necessary reports and information to assist with contracted maintenance and any future maintenance plans.
