We are looking for an exceptional Lead Radiographer to manage our community diagnostic centre based in Workington as part of North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust, located in the stunning surroundings of the Lake District.

Our new community Diagnostic centre has been set up to enable patients to access planned diagnostic care nearer to home without the need to attend acute hospital sites.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional performance, quality, and safety of services within the CDC and linking in with the Radiology departments within the acute sites of Carlisle and Whitehaven.

Main duties of the job

This role offers an incredible opportunity for someone experienced in Radiography who is ready to take the next step in management. The primary purpose of the post is to manage the community diagnostic centre and work alongside Trust wide Radiology colleagues.

Based at Community Diagnostic Centre, Workington with the requirement to work at acute sites when required. The post holder will be responsible for addressing and resolving day to day management issues within the CDC for all pathways/staff working in the building.

The post holder will be an experienced manager, who is a HCPC registered and practicing radiographer with extensive knowledge and experience, taking specific responsibility for providing professional leadership for high quality clinical standards and clinical governance across the centre.

The post holder will be responsible for achieving and reporting on Key Performance Indicators, including achievement of the necessary accreditations required for services delivered within the building eg QSI, IQIPS.

The post holder, together with the relevant clinical leads for services run from the centre will develop the future strategic direction, management of policies, procedures, protocols and hold primary responsibility for implementing any action plans required.

The post holder will be responsible as a Radiation Safety Supervisor within the CDC and will work closely with the Trust Lead Radiographer on the radiation safety strategy.
