Job summary

INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES The Lead Physician Associate role in the Surgical Care Collaborative is a senior role involving both clinical and managerial duties within the Surgical Care Collaborative, while developing and growing the Physician Associate role. Main clinical duties include the assessment, management and continued care of patients under the supervision of a supporting senior surgical team. Managerial duties include the day to day involvement within the Surgical Care Collaborative to improve patient care, experience and development of the Care Group itself through meetings and communication. The Lead Physician Associate will also be involved in the continued development of the Physician Associate role, working closely with both Clinical and Managerial teams, as well as out of Trust based Physician Associates to improve the role and its ongoing establishment into the NHS.

Main duties of the job
