37.5 hours (Full Time), permanent.

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a Medical Recruitment Officer to join our busy recruitment team.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience of working in a busy recruitment team or administration team, an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively working to tight deadlines.

A high degree of accuracy is required for the role and knowledge of HR processes and equality and diversity would be advantageous. You will need to be a strong communicator as the role will require you to liaise with all levels of staff, newly appointed recruits and potential candidates looking to join the Trust.

The role will predominantly be responsible for the end to end transactional service for all medical and dental recruitment drives (dealing with all doctors from Foundation level through to Consultants and Dentists). You will be expected to co-ordinate interview panels for consultant recruitment which will involve communication with relevant Royal College representatives and senior members of the Trust. The role will also involve requesting and issuing Certificate of Sponsorships for overseas recruits who require a visa and assisting them with advice and support for their smooth transition to the UK. This may include advice on accommodation, schools and other resources.

Face to face interviews planned for Friday 14th March 2025.

Main duties of the job

The role will require you to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, liaising with Recruiting Managers throughout the organisation ensuring successful candidates are processed efficiently and accurately.

You will be part of a supportive and proactive team who are responsible for administering our end to end recruitment process from advertising vacancies through to carrying out pre-employment checks and issuing employment contracts.

Previous experience using the NHS jobs system / Trac Recruitment system or ESR (electronic staff record) system is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
