Job summary
The post holder will play a pivotal role in further the development of Cancer Data and Analytics at NCIC, and identifying areas for further improvement.
As an experienced data analyst with a track record of working with complex data in a health care setting, the post holder will have experience in how to develop and prepare data to required specifications, supporting colleagues ability to use the data for improvement and presenting data in a way that is timely, accurate and tailored to the audience.
The post holder will play a key role in the improvement of the Trust's Cancer data and analytics and will provide analytical support to foster continuous improvement.
The post holder will work independently in statistical analysis and clinical data extraction supported by the Cancer Services team.
Main duties of the job
This role will be based within the Trust's Cancer Services Team and will be dedicated to supporting the Trust's Cancer Services by providing specialist advice including information interpretation, data analysis and information reporting.
The post holder will deliver high quality, high reliability analytics and intelligence to inform decision making and drive meaningful change within Cancer Services.
Analyse, investigate and resolve a range of complex information queries/data and issues/problems relating to Cancer Waiting Times and equivalent data sets e.g. user requirements which may require configuration
Generate regular and ad-hoc cancer pathway reports ensuring accurate communication of Trust activity and performance against Cancer Waiting Times and other cancer standards.
Regularly test and/or adapt complex IM&T systems including applications and hardware, to fit user specification.
Plan specialist projects across multiple workstreams, delivering to deadline, which impact across both clinical and non-clinical areas.
Support Cancer Services by ensuring that work streams are always informed by timely and accurate datasets
Support the refinement of existing data sources where required
Create SPC charts for the Trust's Cancer Services improvement programme workstreams
