Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:

• youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure

Qualifications

Essential

• Registered Nurse
• Teaching certificate or equivalent
• Essential IT Skills
• First/second degree in Nursing or equivalent

Desirable

• Gynaecology/oncolgy nursing certificate
• Counselling certificate
• Advanced communication skills course
• Nurse prescribing

Knowledge & Experience

• Band 6 experience working in outpatient that cares for patients with gynaecology cancer
• Teaching staff
• Team Leadership & management
• Continuing professional development
• Implications of disease trajectory and treatment modalities

Desirable

• Previous CNS role experience with oncology patients
• Audit & research
• Developing Protocol & policy documents
• Oncology nursing including MDT experience
