Job summary
We are delighted to advertise the post of a Band 7 Specialist Acute Medical and Elderly care Physiotherapist which combines both clinical and leadership opportunities in an established team.
We are a amazing Physiotherapy department base at WCH. This role will work within the new state of the heart rehab facilities and wards due to open in July 2024
Main duties of the job
The specialist nature of this role will require the post-holder to act as a clinical resource for other therapists and health professionals.
To practice in accordance with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Rules of Professional conduct and Health Professions Council regulations.
To undertake a team leader role, in consultation with the line manager, in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy Service provided to acute medical and eldercare on a day-to-day basis
To be clinically and professionally responsible for highly specialised physiotherapy assessment and treatment, working as an autonomous practitioner managing patients with a wide range of highly complex conditions, within both medical, elderly care wards and admissions units determining clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated.
