Job summary

We are looking for new Meet & Greet Volunteers to join our "Main Outpatients Team".

Our Volunteers are based at the entrance of our Main Outpatients Department to help visitors, patients and relatives to feel welcome and to help them navigate their way around the department/hospital and reassure and support people who are attending clinics and appointments or are visiting friends or family.

Must be 18y or older to apply

  • Can provide one morning or afternoon per week

Main duties of the job

  • Provide practical help, offering advice and directions.
  • Escort patients and visitors to wards or departments.
  • Seeking out people who are looking lost or in need of assistance and helping them.
  • Offering companionship, comfort and support to patients
  • Locating wheel chairs if required.
  • As necessary, you may be asked to direct patients and staff to the hand sanitizers, and ask anyone who does not have a mask to use one of the masks provided by the Trust.
  • Replenish the face mask stock during your shift and ensuring the stock is replenished at the end of your shift.
