Job summary

Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer - Homecare Services, Band 2, up to 22.5 hours per week

The opportunity has arisen for a part-time Assistant Technical Officer within the Pharmacy Homecare services team, to support a variety of administrative and technical functions for the Pharmacy Homecare service.

Work primarily within the Pharmacy department, to support administrative and technical functions for the Pharmacy Homecare service under Trust procedures.

The Pharmacy Homecare team is a friendly, small, hard-working team who are an important part of the hospital Pharmacy department. This post is ideal if you are keen to work in a vital NHS role and have a keen interest in Pharmacy and patient care.

Main duties of the job

This involves scanning, filing, ordering stationery items, preparing items for posting, and the use of the Pharmacy computer system to assist with ordering, invoicing, goods receipt under supervision, in accordance with procedures, and the postholder will be responsible for passing any invoices with queries on to senior staff according to procedures.

To accept telephone messages for the Team to pass to senior staff.

Assist in office and departmental tasks within abilities as requested.

Liaise with the other members of the Homecare Team to ensure continuity of processes.

Accuracy is a critical skill for this role.
