Quality Matron Emergency Care

Matron within the newly established Emergency Care Collaborative. 30 hours per week fixed term for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. Flexibility in hours and working patterns may be considered. The portfolio for this post includes CIC emergency department, CIC SDEC, Acute Medical Admissions ward and two Urgent Treatment Centres in Keswick and Penrith.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Collaborative for an enthusiastic candidate who is committed and passionate about patient safety, high quality safe care and the development of a sustainable nursing workforce North Cumbria can be proud of.

As part of the Trust's Quality Matron team the successful candidate will lead in collaboration with the Emergency Medicine Clinical Director and Deputy General Manager to continue to develop our emergency care services on the Carlisle site. The post will be based within the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle and will support the Collaborative Lead Nurse to deliver the strategic vision of the Chief Nurse.
