Job summary

This role will provide business support to theOperational Management team (Chief Operating Officer, Deputy COO, Chief Nurse Officer (Operations), Associate Director of Out of Hospital).

The role provide coordination of activities and actions across the Collaboratives to ensure deadlines are achieved and high standards of Care are provided.

They will co-ordinate and lead on the review of administration activities across the Collaboratives.

This is a demanding, fast-paced and varied role, which requires a confident communicator with experience of negotiating and influencing staff at a senior level, combined with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. It requires a dynamic, motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team work ethic.

Main duties of the job

Administration:

  • Provide comprehensive business support to the Chief Operating Officer, Deputy COO, Chief Nurse Officer (Operations), Associate Director of Out of Hospital).
  • Co-ordinate and plan the work of the Senior Operational Management; co-ordinating work, forward planning work and preparing and gathering information.
  • Co-ordinate actions and work streams across the Collaboratives on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, Deputy COO, Chief Nurse Officer (Operations), Associate Director of Out of Hospital).
  • Co-ordinate and respond to national / regional / Integrated Care Board requests, progressing with Collaboratives, escalating delays and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Produce draft reports and letters as directed by the Senior Operational Management team, acting autonomously to produce initial drafts and final documents.

Governance:

  • Provide leadership for the implementation of governance, risk management and improvement agendas within the Collaboratives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Deputy COO to ensure care group compliance with the corporate risk management strategy.
  • Support the planning of governance activities i.e. away days and learning events
  • To ensure on a weekly basis that the senior team is appraised of risks and quality issues with particular focus on those which have potentially high risk to the organisation.
