An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as a Permanent Band 6 Physiotherapist or Band 5 to 6 development role in a musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Outpatient team in the Carlisle locality.If needed we will fully support you whilst you undertake training to progress you to a band 6.

Our team is highly focussed on supporting your development including regular training, peer review and access to advice and support from our team of Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists and Advanced MSK Practitioners who all work within the team.
We have relocated to the new purpose built physiotherapy department constructed as part of the £25 million redevelopment of The Sands Centre. This department is integral to the new leisure facilities, making it a truly exciting time for anyone passionate about delivering healthcare collaboratively with the leisure sector.

Main duties of the job
We receive self referrals as well as referrals from GP's, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Pelvic Health and other secondary care services. There are opportunities for further development within the MSK physiotherapy service with the creation of the Integrated MSK service in North Cumbria.
The post holder will be required to work autonomously, managing an independent caseload. They will undertake the assessment, diagnosis, development and implementation of specialist treatment goals and treatment plans for patients with varying clinical complexity.
The post holder will be expected to provide education, supervision and training to physiotherapy colleagues, technical instructors, students and other healthcare professionals.
