Job summary

We are looking to appoint 2 compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to be part of our small Freedom to Speak Up Team. Supporting the Lead Freedom to Speak up Guardian and the Trust's speaking up process.

As Assistant Freedom to Speak up Guardians, you will be one of the first points of contact for all staff who wish to discuss any concerns they may have in relation to a Freedom to Speak Up issue.

An exciting and varied role that really makes a difference to the staff culture. We are particularly keen to encourage applicants from diverse and under represented groups with lived experience of why speaking up is important.

Main duties of the job

  • Manage own caseload of speak up queries
  • Provide information and initial support, signposting concerns to the most appropriate team/service within the Trust
  • Support the team of Respect and Inclusion ambassadors, maintain training, and induction of new ambassadors
  • Assist in preparing reports and statistics for multiple meetings
  • Database maintenance for speak up queries and investigations including statistical analysis of data
  • Ability to recognise and act upon issues that are raised, in relation to potential safety or safeguarding
