Job summary
Deputy Ward Manager Band 6 up to 37.5 hours per week available
Ward 8 is a 21 bedded escalation ward with patients with general medical needs.
We are looking for someone who is willing to develop into a leadership and management role with the ability to support the ward manager with a new team to provide high standards of care based on best practice. The ward will be fully supported by the Multidisciplinary team and clinical support will be provided by allocated matron.
Main duties of the job
Ensure the organisation and leadership of nursing and midwifery services supports the delivery of the highest standards of patient care in the pursuance of the Trust's objectives. The core nursing team is responsible for ensuring that effective systems of work are in place to ensure the safe delivery of evidence based patient care. Support effective patient flows and management of resources in the allocated clinical area in the Trust.
