Job summary

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust (TPFT) is part of the Surrey Mindworks Alliance. Mindworks is hosted by Surrey and Borders Partnership (SABP) NHS Foundation Trust and delivered in partnership with a range of national and local Voluntary Community and SocialEnterprises. The Clinical Programmme Team are contracted to implement the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019) across the Surrey Children's emotional wellbeing and mental health workforce, in collaboration with the National i-THRIVE Programme Team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the implementation and embedding of the THRIVE Framework for system change in Mindworks Surrey, as part of a team of multi-disciplinary clinicians. They will be partly based in a Mindworks services to support the capture of progression made in the implementation process.

Alongside the team, the post holder will support the team to develop and embed practice of the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019), and support the dissemination of practice developments. The post holder will support engagement and training, service user involvement initiatives; outcomes; implementation evaluation; contributing to the development of i-THRIVE grids using NICE guidelines and evidence-based interventions. They will work as part of the team and will contribute to improving the team's ability to perform and function; as well as supporting the embedding of outcome measures. The post holder will actively work with and support Mindworks development and change initiatives.

  • An honours degree (2:2 or above) in Psychology with entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society. Evidence of further training in psychological treatments e.g., IAPT, or equivalent
  • Previous experience of work with children, young people and families with emotional Health and Wellbeing needs. Experience of contributing to or working on Quality Improvement initiatives Experience of teaching and presenting learning experiences. Knowledge and experience of the THRIVE framework for systems change (Wolpert et al, 2019)
  • An ability to apply existing psychological knowledge to a mental health context using the THRIVE Framework for systems change. Knowledge of digital systems to capture implementation activity, utilising computers for data collection and management. Able to demonstrate ways of working with multidisciplinary teams with positive outcomes. Ability to produce high quality reports
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and engagement skills especially when working in a team and partnership Highly organised and efficient Self-aware, self-motivated and reflective An ability to remain calm under pressure.
