You will work with other Consultants as part of a team and be line managed and developed by our Senior Organisational Consultants . All of our consultants play a key role in ensuring TC has a successful reputation and operates as a financially viable enterprise, making a sustainable financial contribution to the Tavistock and Portman Trust.

Trained in the systems-psychodynamic approach, and with an understanding and some experience of its application in an organisational context, successful applicants will work on a range of change, leadership and organisational development projects for individuals, teams and organisations, often in complex and challenging contexts.

Consultants will be required to work flexibly and proactively to deliver individual and project team performance, commercial focus, client outcomes, increased profile and reputation and ongoing learning and innovation.

Working as a member of a small, expert team, the post-holder will proactively build relationships with immediate colleagues, associates and other stakeholders across the Trust.

Our Consultants deliver world-class, cutting-edge organisational consultancy interventions, which have a significant impact on organisational performance. This includes a range of activities aligned with organisational aims, sponsor objectives and participant concerns including a diagnostic approach where appropriate, expert process facilitation of groups, change consultancy and bespoke programme design and delivery.

Our consultants also contribute to the body of literature in the field, produce thought pieces, blogs and articles, publish papers and present at conferences.

About us

Tavistock Consulting (TC) was formed in 1994 to provide coaching and consultancy to leaders and their teams in commercial organisations. The aim in establishing Tavistock Consulting was to apply the psychoanalytic and systems thinking embedded in the Tavistock tradition to working with organisations, to impact in a meaningful manner on the workplace and the workforce and to generate income to support the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.

Tavistock Consulting today is a psychologically informed organisational change and leadership development consultancy. We are part of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which has been at the forefront of research and innovation in working with groups, leaders, and organisations for nearly a century.

Through specialised interventions in the areas of organisation and system change, team effectiveness and leadership development, we help clients to develop a strong and effective organisational culture that supports their staff to perform at their best in complex and often challenging environments.

We work locally, nationally, and internationally with a wide range of organisations, from NHS health and social care services to not-for-profit organisations, government bodies and national and global private sector organisations. We work across the system- engaging with staff on the ground as well as at board and senior executive level.
