Job summary
The Gender Identity Clinic Service (GIC) The Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) is the longest established clinic of its kind in the world (1966), and consists of a large multidisciplinary team, with whom the post holder will work. It accepts self-referrals, as well as referrals from primary or secondary care of adults who are gender diverse or dysphoric. Care includes specialist assessment and, where necessary, diagnosis of gender incongruence, and may also include psychological therapies, speech & language therapy, endocrinology, referral for hair removal, referral for surgical procedures and aftercare.
To provide effective and efficient administration which supports management by ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources.
To work as a member of a functional, task-based team, ensuring robust communication and liaison with your administrative colleagues and with clinical practitioners. Responsible for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and effective administrative service to the Division/Service Line/Team.
Main duties of the job
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a functional, task-based team, and can ensure they can communicate and liaise with administrative colleagues, patients, family members, external professionals and with clinical practitioners.
This should also include evidence of high-quality skills where attention to detail, strong IT skills and accurate patient data entry skills is essential and demonstrating the ability to use your initiative and prioritise your own workload. Having experience of using Care notes our electronic patient record is desirable.
