Job summary

We are recruiting one 4 sessions role in the core D58 course team. The roles will bring opportunities to become involved in and lead on specific teaching, learning, assessment, administrative and course development activities.

These are exciting and where the course will be integrated with D59 in the next academic year and a new course will be created.

Main duties of the job

  • To contribute to the teaching and supervision on a range of courses including complex clinical and/or research-based Masters (and if appropriate, doctoral programmes) within the Clinical Portfolio and related portfolios as required.
  • To provide clinical or research supervision to students across courses in the portfolio, as required, and responding to often highly complex issues requiring consideration of a range of possible options and providing expert knowledge and input.
  • To participate in the development, administration and marking of assessments.
  • To act as personal tutor to allocated students on a range of programmes.
  • To ensure teaching and supervision integrates an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory framework and takes account of equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • To contribute to marketing initiatives when required, including attendance at Trust-wide and course specific open events for prospective students
  • To assist Course Leads in aspects of curriculum development, where required, including ensuring inclusivity, equity, disadvantage and discrimination are appropriately addressed, taking a lead in the planning of identified course activities.
  • To develop personal digital capabilities and those of students and work with Course Lead and DET colleagues to explore and implement opportunities for digital innovation in pedagogy.
