The Pharmacy Department at Barts Health is one of the largest in the country and covers a population of 2.5 million. We provide clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services from our five hospital sites across the City of London, East and North East London.We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate pharmacist/pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.We are seeking an exceptional senior pharmacist or pharmacy technician to lead our Medicines Supply and Delivery portfolio, providing strategic, operational and professional leadership across the MHRA licensed Pharmacy Packing Service Unit (PSU) and Pharmacy Homecare Services and Pharmacy Procurement services. This pivotal Band 8C role oversees regulatory compliance, governance, procurement integration, supply chain optimisation, Homecare provider performance, and continuous improvement across the services. You will act as the senior escalation point for complex issues, drive innovation and digital optimisation, lead inspections, manage budgets, develop business cases, and shape the future of medicines supply for one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country. Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry out the full range of duties as a Lead Pharmacist/Pharmacy technician for the Pharmacy Packing Service Unit (PSU) and Pharmacy Homecare Services to deliver patient focused, quality care. The post holder will provide a procurement and supply chain function to facilitate close collaboration with pharmacy procurement, ensuring seamless service provision.
